Life Update

So, this week hasn’t be the greatest. Over the past weekend I got to visit with my family which was amazing, but once Sunday hit life took a turn. Now, it’s definitely not as dramatic as I’m making it sound, but it’s still somewhat bad. Sunday afternoon and into the evening I started to get a sore throat. At first, I blew it off as allergies or something along those lines, since the weather is shifting to colder weather after being relatively warm. However, I have no such luck. On Monday my symptoms became significantly worse, so I had to stay home and attend my class through Zoom. I had a presentation for this class, which was unfortunate, but I won’t lie, I prefer giving presentations through Zoom since it takes some of the pressure off. However, I probably would have rather been in class than at home feeling terrible.

Being sick sucks. I have been self-quarantining in my room, in hopes of not getting my roommates sick. Which means I’m kind of bored. Don’t get me wrong getting to stay in bed and watch Netflix is nice, obviously when you overlook the coughing and runny nose. Since it’s not looking like my symptoms will stop anytime soon, I’ve elected to stay home and attend class online for the rest of the week. And while I don’t think it is COVID-19, I am planning on getting tested just to be sure. I’m excited at the prospect of returning to class next week, assuming that all goes well when it comes to the test results. I’m also looking forward to returning to full health and returning to some type of normalcy. So, remember to take your vitamin C seeing as flue season is officially here. I’m wishing you all a healthy rest of the semester!
